Thanks for your comments

Thanks to all the people who came along to our workshops over the last two weeks.

Almost 150 people joined us at four workshops around the North West, one each in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria. All were led by our independent facilitator Diana Pound of Dialogue Matters.

The workshops gave us an opportunity to meet users of the Irish Sea face to face and listen to what they had to say. Over the course of the four workshops we were able to meet representatives from all the key sectors – commercial fishing, the oil and gas industry, the aggregates extraction industry, wind farms and recreational users.

Our job is to help users of the Irish Sea make recommendations about marine conservation zones to government, so we appreciate the time and effort from everyone who attended the workshops.

We are currently typing up all the comments from the workshop – a fascinating but time consuming job!

Once typed up, the comments will be included in a report prepared by Diana at Dialogue Matters, which will be publicly available in late November. You’ll be able to download it from this website.
